WITCHLIGHT

WITCHLIGHT began as a COVID-era journey of self reflection for Headwitch Abby. The path has had many twists and turns over its six years, and our brick and mortar location is pleased to act as a hub for community.

Our curated collection includes culturally appropriate witchcraft supplies—handmade spell oils, kits, candles, and unique local art—plus a select range of oracle decks, tarot cards, and books to inspire your spiritual path.

At WITCHLIGHT, we value community and connection. Our space has a Free-Store, a Coven Library, and comfy seats to work, relax, read, and be together. We host spiritual classes, events, Craft Club every Tuesday!

Visit us at 21 Warren St and discover the magic. Whether you're new to magic or an experienced witch, WITCHLIGHT is here to help and inspire you.

We also host local organizations and practitioners who need a place to gather. Interested in using the space?

  • The short answer is that Indigenous voices have asked White people to use other herbs. If you want to learn more about why, I suggest visiting www.cnps.org/conservation/white-sage to learn from those affected.

  • While superstition about this topic is wide-spread and varied, the growing (modern) consensus is you can absolutely buy your own deck if you want to! It doesn't make it less magical, I promise!

  • I urge you to do research into the specific practices you want to participate in, learn where they come from, their cultural roots, and ask yourself WHY you feel drawn to it.

It is so important to form your own moral compass surrounding spiritual practices, instead of asking permission.

If you want to do a spell that belongs to a closed practice, perhaps you can build your OWN ritual which is rooted in your own spiritual and cultural traditions, rather than appropriating, or practicing spiritual tourism.
